Corruption has long been a pervasive issue in Pakistan, impacting everything from local governance to the business sector. I have witnessed how corruption undermines justice and prevents the rule of law from flourishing. This has inspired me to pursue a legal career focused on anti-corruption and legal reform, where I can work toward a more transparent and accountable legal system in Pakistan.
During my undergraduate studies in economics and political science, I became increasingly aware of the economic and social costs of corruption. I participated in several student-led awareness campaigns aimed at educating young people about the negative effects of corruption and the importance of integrity in leadership. These experiences motivated me to consider law as a means of addressing the systemic issues that contribute to corruption in Pakistan.
In addition to my academic work, I have been actively involved in volunteer work with organizations that promote governance transparency and fight corruption. I assisted in organizing seminars on anti-corruption policies and legal frameworks, which deepened my understanding of how legal reform can serve as a powerful tool in combating corruption.
I am determined to pursue a law degree in Pakistan to become a part of the effort to strengthen the legal system and promote integrity, transparency, and accountability in governance.
